I need windows XP key # ? who can hook me up? my pc downloaded sp2 and it fuck me up..

A write-up I found for getting it to work correctly once you get the key (unless the key just works once you use it)

2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
3. In the left pane, locate and then click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Cu rrent Version\WPAEvents
4. In the right pane, right-click OOBETimer, and then click Modify.
5. Change at least one digit of this value to deactivate Windows.
6. Click Start, and then click Run.
7. In the Open box, type the following command, and then click OK.

8. Click Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative to activate Windows, and then click Next.
9. Click Change Product key.
10. Type the new product key in the New key boxes, and then click Update.

If you are returned to the previous window, click Remind me later, and then restart the computer.
11. Repeat steps 6 and 7 to verify that Windows is activated. You receive the following message:
Windows is already activated. Click OK to exit.

if you have the CD the # can be found usually in the " COA " card or on a label on the package is a 25 digit number w/ a combination of letters.

COA = Certificate of Authenticity

i tired and failed T.T when I had that problem I call microsoft with the number that kept popping up told them that the computer place i just took my computer to replaced my mother board and the reinstalled windows and I needed a new key and they gave me one, but that was a true story too

when the windows activation pop up comes up. is a group of numers, I think is 9 groups w/ 6 numbers in each group.
