Especially if they can see it with their own eyes before entering the property. I can assure you that no cop will stand by and watch people stand in front of cars while they do burnouts; private property or not.

I get if the cars are putting out enough smoke to "obstruct the vision of drivers on the street". but what's law against doing "burnouts" on a private parking lot?

p.s. in now way do I support or condone the "burnouts". 1 of the many reasons I don't go to the varsity.

still wouldnt work. most of the ia people dont do burnouts. the ricers will still be there, and there is a lot of them. most of them never heard of ia... two suggestions that were made are change the date, or change the location. im up for either one or both.

Same as this thread. The Varsity meet "is cool" thread got like barely 2 pages and the "I hate the burnouts" thread gets 8 pages.

Seems like the burnouts are owning everything right now, lol.....

Of course they can do something, the law doesn't end at property lines. There are any number of reasons the cops could go in there and breaking it up - the noise, for example. I live a block away from the V and I can hear the burnouts loud and clear all night long. I think they're funny, but I know a lot of people around here hate it, and if enough residents complain about the noise they'll do something about it.

Personally, I think the cops tolerate the V because it's only once a month and they'd rather see kids blowing off steam in a parking lot by doing burnouts than have to deal with them out street racing.
