ive got to get ready for work but ill check this periodically today while im at work. MY whole issue with this is that you guys chose the wrong shooting to try to bring police brutality into it. maybe a different one, but not this one

he doesnt have proof other than one thread saying that theres been ten shootings. If all suspects (hell even 3) were unarmed, then yes, i agree on the police brutality but all ive asked for the last hour is proof

Don't forget that you are also putting the victim in danger. If the cop tries to shot, then there's a chance you might get hit in the process.

i will agree with this but normally in those situations, theres trained sharpshooters with .308's

they are trained.. they go through extensive courses so things like don't happen.. i mean it could but the odds are with them.. not against

After living in atlanta for the past 5 months, I notice alot of things about these cops. Some of them are out of shape like hell (like their ass eat donuts 24/7). Then there's others that are small as hell (like my 8 year old brother can woop them). And last there's the "Super Cops" that take their job and power out of hand. We all know that the "big guys" are not going to chase anyone, and the small ones going to have a tough time defending themselves. Then the "Super Cops" thinks "I'm fuckin GOD" are crazy as hell. I can see why the cop shooting rate is up. Dont get me wrong, I dont have anything against cops (my grandfather, aunt, and 2 uncles are officers of the law). I just think that certain people shouldnt be cops.

Let me just say this: If a criminal points a weapon at an officer, comes at the officer with a weapon, or tries to use some object as a weapon for causing injury, the suspect deserves to go down. There are no ifs, ands, or buts to this....

Dekalb isn't bending over backwards to let the criminals injure one of their officers. Don't blame the officers for these shoots. Instead, blame the criminals that keep Atlanta in the top 5 Most Dangerous Cities in North America.

Ok plain and simple for the last time people,, suspect tried to kill cop then cop is eligible to shoot suspect (maybe kill if it was a life threatning situation) but suspect with no weapons what-so-ever cop is not permitted to kill suspect shoot(maybe only in self defense but not kill) that is all now MODS may you please delete this thread Because I don't want to be responsible for an IA war LOL

the cop is only going to shoot if they see a weapon or have enough evidence that the suspect is carrying one..

Not true.

A. You never shoot to "wound". You shoot to stop the threat.

B. What if the criminal tries to run over the cop with his car? That's a deadly weapon. What if the criminal has a brick? Yet another deadly weapon.
