trust me.. my mom tried for years and years.. finally they threatened to throw him in jail.. he payed $50 (his mininum payment) and got out of it.. he passed away a few years later so she never saw the money.. you have to keep in mind it's VERY expensive to keep court dates and all that crap.. especially for a single mom.. in her eyes just having her children was better than the emotional struggles of trying to get him to payOriginally Posted by admin

that's true.. but this all happened in the early 90's.. my mom re-married to a wonderful man (who i think of as my dad) and helped her so much.. anway its a messed up situation.. everything is good now though!
its never easy, but its the only option. women can't complain about recieving nothing if they dont' try.

don't always look from a man's point of view.. i would feel the same way if the roles were reversed...
umm your mom obviously was speaking for you considering you were a minor, so as i said women/children can't complain if the MOTHER does nothing.
lol everything is a debate with you.. she couldn't AFFORD it.. shit happens.. we got through it.. as will tiffany.. she is better off without him.. too much emotional stress is not good for the baby.. this kind of thing is so typical now.. and there are more ways to get help for dead beat dads/moms.. that's all im saying
its not a debate just the truth... i'm one of six kids my dad raised my older brother/sister b/c their father was a dead beat... and in the 70's it was rather difficult to get a disabled vet to pay child support. he later died and my older siblings recieved gov't aid; so i'm quite aware of this type of situation. but as i said you can't complain if you do nothing.
