Default Anybody go to Petit Le Mans?

I went this weekend and had a great time. I didn't know the Aston Martin DB9R's or any of the cars were that loud for that matter but damn it was great seeing such fast cars and smelling fresh C16 in the air. I didn't know Road Atlanta was such a twisty track. That kink right before turn 12 is pretty sick. Got a few pics from my camera phone. I couldn't get any pics of any of the cars on the track, camera was too slow but did manage to get these.

The C6R was just plain bad ass.. Risi Competezione, Flying Lizard and Zakspeed were hot too..

We saw this guy at the Pilot/McDonalds on the I-85 Exit to S.R. 53

This car was in the Vette group on DR's and CCW's it had some LPE work done to it.

Yeah, I was there. We were camped out on the outside of turn 10A for about 8 hrs. Great seats and you really got to see some SERIOUS braking action.

I watched the Aston "bump" the C6 in turn 10B. It was great.

Yeah there were a few of us there: Ruiner (posted already), JaimeCBR900, Brady, Speedminded, Cody, and myself. BatlGround was there also.

Here is some shots from Friday

Batlground was at turn 6. Brady, Cody, and I were shooting at 6 and 7. Early in the day I shot a little at turn 12. Speedminded was pretty much all over the place. lol

I was there as media, saw Ruiner's 996TT in the Porsche corral and Tracy's EVO by the skidpad. My feet are torn up, I probably walked 15 miles yesterday carrying my gear everywhere. I had a good time, I took over 800 photos - and over 500 of them came out sharp and clean. I got to meet Boris Said and got his autograph. And I got to interview Allan McNish (co-driver of the overall race winning car) in the media center after the press conference. Can't beat that. It was a long ass day and a lot of hard work but I loved it.

No, no you didn't see my car in the Porsche corral. Someone had an '02 or '03 996TT with the black 540R HREs, but it was not my car. ALWAYS check for the RUINER license plate. I have tinted windows, lowered, with a custom 4.2" exhaust. That car was missing all of that.

Cool, I just saw the black TT and HREs and figured it was your car. By the point I went by the Porsche platz I hardly remembered my own name. It was a long, long day.

Yeah, it was a look-a-like. I can only imagine that someone wanted to copy mine (at least that is what I tell myself).

ahhhhhhh! That was Dan driving. I had been drinking. I saw you over there, but I was trying to keep my eyes on the road. I was scared for my life! We got up to a very high amount of speed. Dude we totally would have dogged that Ferrari...but he wouldn't let us catch him. We were on stock boost when you saw us trying to race him..... we didn't even have to turn it up. By the time we got out of the crowd we couldn't find him...eh....he sucks and is a sissy JP.
