Yeah my best friend hated going to school to be a mechanical engineer an being on the deans list almost every simester. He make 70 grand a year and has been out of school for 9 months

i know it sucks but I can't wait to start college. I went to Universal Technical Institute (UTI/MMI). The worst school for automotive mechanics ever! Atleast the Orlando campus sucks. 22K for 13months!?!? with shitty training. So I said fucked that and quit.
My buddy went to Tech. He said they basically robbed him of his personal life and kept him in the books all the time. He finally had enough and goes to KSU now.

I went to UTI in Charlotte I was lucky enough to get in when it was 22k I heard it was around 30 now because it Nascar Technical Institute and everyone with a cowboy hat on thier head and a cousin on thier dick wants to go there.
I didnt think it was that much of a rip off seeing as how I went from not knowing how to change oil to fabricating a race car in about a year.
Whe I say not that much of a rip off I mean about 11 thousand dollars worth. There is no way that place should charge as much as Syracuse to go to. I would say that UTI is worth about half what they charge.
It's taking me 7 years to get my 4 year degree
And there's no hot chicks (or chicks for that matter) at spsu.
My parents are calling this the "make it or break it" semester. That means if I fuck up, then I'm on my own.
Yeah I think UTI is a good school for learnin the basics and I mean BASICS! lol There were some students that transfered to the Orlando campus and told me that the one they were at was better than Oralndo. So I dunno. But like you said if the school cost half as much, it would be well worth it.

I think about 85 percent of what I have learned in this industry has come from work experience. You can never know it all with cars because every car is different and they are changing things every day. There is a reason that auto technicians are held in the same respects as doctors in Germany and Italy.
My main beef with UTI is how they lie out the ass to you especially NTI. I was in the third class to go through, the school wasn't even finished yet and allready the race teams in Mooresville were telling the school to tell us not to go to shops we are not welcome. They are a business and will do anything to sell thier product. Atleast I had fun and got play with 800hp engines and use an english wheel.
that's pretty cool you go to mess around with stuff like that. I'm right there with you, how they lie about everything. Especially in their commercals! You don't do have the stuff they say or work on half the cars they show. lol when they use to give tours at our school we would tell the students not to come here or go to wyotech. A buddy of mine that I went there with had a show car Eclipse GSX. $80K+ car and the school bought it off of him and now it's their UTI showcar lol. But I'm still sorta glad I went, it was an experience and I did learn some stuff.
We would get into alot of trouble messing with the tour groups that would come throught the school. The english wheels were right in front of the windows to the Nascar garage and you would look up and there woulod be 50 people standing there looking at you and taking pictures. We would blow them kisses and smack each other on the ass and shit like that. I was really close to buying a Car Mechanics For Dummies book and carrying it around and make sure the tour groups see it but the damn thing cost like 45 bucks. Oh and they drug tested the hell out of us to, that was alot of fun.

lol sounds about like us. We would be sleepin in class and shit. A tour would come by and the teacher would wake us up and be like "look like you're doin something". That's kinda hard to do when you've been asleep for an hour and forgot what your project was lol. That would be hilarious if you got that book.
i used to hate school also...now i wish i was back in highschool....more chances to get laid back then..all i had to do was get up and go to school and i had 1500 sluts to choose from.
i hated it and thought it was pointless.....but now i have a govt job and i get paid rather nicely for it so that makes it even worse....now i know my parents were right. school is important and school is what i have to thank for my brand new truck, my turbo gsr civic, my 4 bedroom house, and the four wheeler i am about to buy....being 23 with all this money rocks!
School sucks here. Period. I hate GA schools. Even my sister agrees. Campus sucks ass. Seriously who the fuck designed Georgia State to be in the heart of Downtown Atl. You goto be kidding me and right next to it Georgia Tech. That's like FUCKING A YOU GO DIE IN HELL!!!! But In Cali only one school I would consider near Downtown LA is USC but theirs likes hella lot of schools out there with open campus you got grass everywhere and very relaxing. I loved it personally over there then here. BUt the downside if you live out there and going to school is your living expense. Shit you get billed with a 2,000 or maybe 3,000 a month a shitty small bedroom apt, then you add the food and the bills with the 8.25 tax. Oh great and gas gets you really bad.
