Well I can tell you one thing right off the bat after looking at your engine bay, If the other civic was clean, thats why you lost. Your engine bay is dirty as fuck. Not trying to be a dick, but if you wanna be serious at the shows and get points, you cant reply on just mods, CLEANLINESS is everything. You can have mods out the ass but if your shit os dirty in the engine bay and suspension, undercarriage, etc your gonna loose, Plain and simple. And dont cry out I DRIVE MINE DAILY because ask anyone on here, I drove mine the first 5 years I showed and my engine bay, suspension, undercarriage, etc could be eatin off of. Take pride in your cars appearance and you may tale 1st next time.

and 2 be first when there is only 2 places to be won, what fun is that.if in it for the trophies, then yeah the first place one is bigger, and i guess when u take that bigger trophy to shows to put infront of your car it might look good. i have a few trophies, some 1st,2nd and 3rd place finishes, but all they are to me are plastic objects. i keep them in my garage only to remind me of the fun times i had at each show, what went into the night prior in preperation, hanging with friends.if you go and let that stupid get to you then u just ruined your experience.my 2 cents

you know - he actually isn't off TOO bad, just needs some changes

in just my opinion...

clean up your engine bay - paint the valve cover, and at least get your intake and header in a high temp powder coat or header wrapped ( so we can't see the splotchiness ) - and of course keep it clean

loose the lambo doors - too played out, and its just kinda sorta like the aluminum wing - wait - brett, dont you have lambo doors??!?!!! LOL!

interior - do something with it. I see just a sub fiberglass enclosure. for the sub. thats it. your trunk is pretty much has no room and is therefore useless, so might as well customize it with the NOS tank and everything

hood - loose the flames. they belong on 50s hotrods and rat rods

front bumper - either fill in those damn gaps, or change the front bumper to better accomodate and highlight the IC - I mean I'm looking more at the side gaps looking at open nothingness then the IC

dont take this as hating, just constructive criticism - part of scoring 1st place is being ahead of the game, and setting the standard for the game

I'd get a CF hood or something if you want to show it. When I see your car my immediate thought is that you got into a front end wreck, bought an ebay replica front bumper and then got a hood off a green Teg from a junkyard and added flames to it in an attempt to make it flow.

For a show car you need some more ICE inside the car and some more engine bay bling.

while on subject of engine bay, whats everyone thoughts on how to make it more appealing. i really dont care to do any engine work but i wanna be able to open the hood. it is as clean as it is gong to get, i spent all day with hose, degreaser and armor all, the clean i got, now i just wanna get it to be appealing.wire loom worth it?

I am. Z3 Fenders? Are you serious? Wack ass flames, a Big Mouth front bumper, and where are the intercooler pipes? I only see one. You are also missing bolts on the wastegate, and I am sure I can come up with more wrong if my eyes could stand to look more in depth at it. The only thing that looks like it might actually look good is the system in the back.

So basically what I am saying is that 5 years ago called and he wants his vehicle back.

Side Note: Hey Brett, did you notice his title under his user name? I guess your old club is back but with horrible spelling. This guy can't spell the model of his car, or his car club. Someone enroll this guy into a community outreach program or something.

Whatever you do under the hood keep it as a theme, If you go chrome do all the peices in chrome, I wouldnt do loom, Thats not to big anymore. The basic idea of the engine for a show is to have mods on it of course, but keep things clean and easy on the eyes. I suggest a simple engine dress up kit, Polished valve cover things like that will really set it off nice.
