    its a scam
you pay a lot of money for a demo set, they say you can sell it back - you cant. its tough selling that shit door to door, people dont want some stranger talking to them with knives haha
just a shitty place to work for from what i understand, the "boss" was a dick and he didnt make any money whatsoever

Ah.... I see.. I went to a seminar today and they said they do not allow door to door anymore and they pay $15.00 per appt. you make or take. I was a little confused as to how we were suppose to get appts. after we ran out of family and friends. He said that people give their numbers and emails and that is how we make appts. Everything sounded good but I believe what you are saying because it cannot be that easy to earn a paycheck....

exactly, they build you up on pipe dreams but that shit aint going to work out.
let me ask you somethings - why did you create this thread? to see if anyone has heard about cutco, right? well, why? is it cause no one you know outside of IA knows about cutco? does that set off an alarm? an alarm that this stuff isnt as big as they'll make it seem.

just dont do it, you'll regret it later.

basically it's a pyramid scam... they just want that initial couple of hundred bucks from you with that demonstration kit... whatever you do after that, they can give a fuck less about.

They hire groups of like 20 people at a time because they know half catch on before buying the starter kit and wont come back.

EDIT: I went to one of the seminars... did some research... they called me nonstop for the next couple of days until i basically told them to go fuck themselves.

Actually this is the first place I asked. I had asked my boyfriends mom and she had heard of them because she saw a presentation at someone's house. I had no idea what the hell it was so I see your point...

I haven't read any of the replys in this thread so I'm sure I'm going to be saying the same thing again...

My brother worked for them for a little while. It's not something you want to get into. Its a Pyramid-style working thing. You pay to work for us, get four people to work for you, and 16 people to work for them... so on and so forth. It's a waste of your time, trust me.

However, their knives are the shit!

dont be surprised if a noob pops up defending the company... apparently they have people that go out and do that shit. I've seen it on a couple of different forums while i was doing research.

dudes with thousands of posts would be talking about how much bs it was... all of the sudden a noob would pop up talking about how awesome the company was. All of their "3" posts being in that one thread.

Went to the seminar, got hired on the spot, recoginized it as a scam/bad idea never went back. They are like "oh you get your customer to gives you names of their friends that would be interested". Reality no one to be the person that gave your info to a freaking knife salesman.

their knives are really good knives...very sharp and stay sharp for a long time...however it is kinda like a pyramid scheme..my parents swear by their knives...one day i will buy a set however right now my JA HENCKLES knives work great for me.

kinda like quixstar dont ever let anyone try to drag you into that crap if they wanna meet you at starbucks to dicuss a business proposal and try to give you an econ lesson on a paper napkin walk away really fast....a buddy from high school and his brother tried to get me to join that shit a while back, they still call be about once every few months....all my friend talks about is how hes going to be retired by age 40 and bla bla bla...what is he doing...selling some stupid energy bars on their company website on a webpage that looks like a 2 year old made it and still waiting tables...i kind feel sorry for him that he fell for it.

my little brother got tied up in that shit. a few thousand dollars spent on shit later that his "coach" told him he needed i think his dumb ass finally figured out it was a joke. there's nothing more annoying than having to hear a sales pitch from a brainwashed friend or family member that somehow thinks that get rich quick shit works. he bought a nice suit, went to all kinds of stupid meetings all over town burning tons of gas, went on a weekend trip to some big seminar for it, just spewed money out his ass on books/tapes/dvd's which were all just motivational bullshit that the top dogs in the "company" make and sell (which is where all their money comes from).
