    i can get the parts pretty cheap, but i've never done it before, etc. Its a tranny and i figured if labor was only 150 bux i'll let the pros do it. Haha thats when i found out why labor is only 150$

    Well, since you can source parts, why not call around and see what shops would charge you just for labor if you took them the parts. Probably won't be $150, but it's a option worth considering. Just tally up the cost of the parts then labor and see which route is cheaper.
