The Klan deffinatley sugar coated their true colors in that era. Thats why so many joined. MILLIONS of men and women were in the klan at that time. After a lot of political scandal involving high ranking klansmen and klan backed politicians membership had a huge decline. Watch the history channel some time. Maybe even read a book.
