Explain just how you would go about fighting a speeding ticket if you were paced.Originally Posted by {X}Echo419

If your chances are minimal to win, why pay a higher fine/more points/time wasted in court? I would fight a ticket that I honestly felt I didn't deserve. I did that on a couple of occassions (not speeding tickets) and won both times.does that make it Legal or right just b/c it happens alot? no.
thrth is most people are so afraid of getting their fine increased or getting more points on their license that they just roll over in court.
That's not necessarily true. Most officers haven't made up their mind if they are going to ticket you, unless you're doing something uber stupid or they running a "speed trap". If they stop you because of opportunity or suspicion, your actions will dictate what your punishment will usually be.or when someone gets pulled over and they say, "but I'm late for work." that pretty much eliminates their defence of not being guilty regardless of how th officer determined they were speeding(or not).
They're human just like you. Just like you, they have certain preferences. Some are indeed jerks and have a superiority complex. I've seen it myself. But if you're being honest, most probably treat the vast majority of people as fair as possible. Do they make mistakes? Absolutely. Do people pay for tickets they didn't deserve? Everyday. But if you're talking about being ultra fair......how many tickets have you NOT gotten that you probably deserved? I'm willing to bet more than one. I know I've gotten out of a ton I truly deserved. So really they should be held to no higher standard than you hold yourself to.it's not about "getting out of a ticket". it's about holding the 1's that are "supposed" to uphold the law to the same standard as everyone else.![]()
