ego-boosting at its lowest. I used to street race back in Florida, every weekend for years on end. Although I understand how good it feels to win, I can't imagine my wife or my mother putting me in the ground. What do they say at your service? "Well he died a horrible death, but hey at least he won".
Are you really willing to die for street racing? Is it that important to you that you could care less for others around you, your friends and family, etc.? Justifying it is selfish, plain and simple.
I'm not talking to anyone in particular, just in general.
If your not ready to face the consequences of streetracing than you shouldnt be streetracing at all. Sure streetracing is immature and life threating but having a car and a lisense on these atlanta streets is life threating enough...You risk your life on roadways as soon as you sit down and start your car.Quote:

Drunk driving takes away more lives annually than streetracing does, and it seems like the penalites for street racing are harder and more severe than drunk driving and that to me is down right stupid.
i guess with every joy in life there are consequences you face, You smoke cigarettes you could eventually die, you drink enough cofee you could eventually die, You swim everyday you can eventually drown and die, you streetrace alot, you can eventually die.......If your not ready to face the consequence than don't do it.
Street racing is dangerous, risks people's lives, and for idiots. I would never do such a cardinal sin... hence why I take footage of people driving at or under the speed limit and use CGI to create an illusion of speed.
... sometimes I program my AEM to give me an illusion of speed too.
actually the only track thats cheaper then a ticket is drag racing, road racing is expensive as hell. yes street racing is dangerous, yes it can kill people, but so can falling out of a window. anything in the world can kill someone, its just like a pit bull, they have a bad rap, but more people are attacked (and documented) to be attacked by most any other dog, including chiwawas... just like street racing, there are HUNDREDS of things on the road that kill more people and cause more accidents then street racing, but the uptight conservatives feel it is something they dont like cause I think they were the kid in the slow car who always got laughed at,.....
ok enough of my rant
I have never done it and never will.
I've lost too many friends to even consider it.
I cant lie either...I have done it, but I dont do it when there are alot of other cars present...I will only do it if there is just me and the other person with sight distance ahead...or if the next car is more than a mile infront...but I will not do that 100+ stuff...only like 60-100 pulls and messing round on backroads...
It's alright if you dont take it out of hand and risk other people's lives.
I do it very rarely and when i do I have to be challenged I never go out looking to race. I mean cmon I drive a four door if someone bucks i have to put them in their place. plus its priceless beating a hatch or somethin on the highway in a sedan... especially when they have their girl in the car lol. but im tryin to stop all together its not worth the outcome if u get caught.
of course you drive a CIVIC! :lmfao: J/K please don't shoot me :cool:Quote:

my point is; if you're going to do it. don't do it in traffic and know the limits of your car. ie. if you have a CIVIC with an intake don't try and do 150mph! :2cents:
Errm. I don't care really. Whatever floats your boat. I don't run random people, but I'll fuck around on the street with Tray or my friends. Hahaha, at least I can still beat all my friends.
I do it, i dont condone it, but i do it as safe as possible. i dont go out with 37 other ricers an jam the highways.
I usually keep it to the wee hours of the morning when there is no traffic, an i never push my self past what i think is safe. IE i usually lift at 120mph, i dont see the need to go any faster than that
i think it's ok as long as you are doing it were there is no traffic and in a secluded spot. as in drag racing, that is what i prefer to do, i hate doing shit on the highway, i mean i might do a little bit, rarley, but maybe only for a sec or two. i prefer draging off in a cut somewhere, where there's nobody to be hurt as we're runing cept for us...
:stupid:Quote:

Ya cas otherwise you will get raped when you do get a car cas of your insurance lasp time...you might want to go try to get a quote from liberty mutal...I would be paying about 2000 per 6 mouths on progressive, but I pay about the same amount for an entrie yr from liberty mutal...
fur shizzle
If you can't afford a day at the track, you definitely can't afford a street racing ticket.
street racing....i do it, knowing that it can be a big offense and one hell of a ticket, but its not like i do it anywhere.
my opinion on it is that you just have to know when and where to do it, not just anytime anywhere. be smart about it, don't go flying down your local highway cause thats just retarded, there's other people around to take into consideration of what if something happen, like you have a blow out on you front tire, then it could put other people at risk, but if its a straight away on some backroad, and you know there's no one around, then do what you please. just don't do it any chance you get, and try to keep it to the minimum.
I'll meet up with friends and do some friendly runs on the street but I'm not going to go out racing people redlight to redlight.
Same thing, I'll never race for money, only for fun to see how my car stacks up.
It's a crime, you cant say anything otherwise. I remember seeing some bumper stickers that said "Streetracing is not a crime" in the same style as the classic "Skateboarding is not a Crime" stickers. The only difference is that skateboarding down the road isnt a crime, destroying property however is.
i got a drifting is not a crime sticker :oQuote:

Don't race on highways. Roads are ok if they are empty. but mountain passes are always fun at night. and no one really drives on them. If you lose your license or don't have one, don't drive. I believe tracks would be great but there isn't one around my area. Just think of other people before racing and stay on your side of the road.
Only thing you've gotta worry about with mountain roads are the hicks throwing oil and gravel on the turns in efforts to slow cars down or make them wreck. That kinda stuff is way too common up in the mountains.Quote:

But.. we all do it in some sense or another, whether it be 0-speed limit fast enough to show some bag of douche what's what, or spirited driving in groups.
Now that Moreland Ave shit, that's just dumb. I went once to spectate.. my license is worth WAY more than a pass at some retarded camaro with altezza's.

Ya tell me about it. One guy tossed a barrel of gravel on to the road and made my friend crash into a ditch. The car was totaled and he wasn't even racing. But most places we go to are mostly desertied or got people that live and actually race on the mountain, so they're ok with us.Quote:

But i won't DO IT.
To bad mountain runs arent a race.. they are enjoying cars/bikes handling ability in amazing scenery and road conditions.Quote:

Im not one to go to racing "spots" or whatever, but ive been involved in a couple highway runs and more mountain drives than i can count.. but im sensible and havent ever gotten a ticket of any sort. Its all about moderation and being smart. To bad this is where a majority of people are lacking.
yep you got it down pat
Going over the speed limit in the mountains is just as illegal as street racing. There's just a stiffer penalty for one.
You can't come on here and bash one illegal activity and justify another because you're "getting a feel for your car's handling ability."
fukin b16 always editing muh shit when i dont know it. asshole.
DELETE YOURSELF BITCH
i fyou do it, i hope you die
I don't do it anymore and when i did, hardly any traffic was around. Can't afford to lose my license a third time :o .
ive done many highway pulls and also drag races last weekend i was gonna do a highway pull with this guy hes in the right lane on a two lane highway im in the left with traffic coming so i get behind him so the traffic can go by us i reach back to cut the bottle on look back up and hes at a dead stop all i could do is grab the wheel tight as a mofo and say a prayer lucky for me a buddy of mine slowed down so i could hit the shoulder that night scared the shit outta me and thats not an easy thing to do so if you gonna do anything from highway pulls out straight out drags then be careful of what you are doin if someone wants to street race then let them however they should come crying when they hurt themselves or someone else or get heela tickets that night on the highway i was just speakin of has made me look at this shit in a whole new way just my 2cents
