that is true but that has alot to do w/ the college effect... people think that a college education entitles you to something... i have friends w/ college degrees still waiting tables

work ethic is something enviromental but even if your parents have it doesn't mean you will get it. i've been paying my own way since high school i bought my 1st brand new car at 19 b/c of my credit and the loan lady told me she had given maybe 5 loans in her career to kids of my age. this is a great example my parents are still paying the way for my 2 younger brothers both are in their 20's. my wife's family is the same, i've been supporting her while she is in school, and she will soon be Dr. Firestine; now her brother hasn't even finished his 2 year degree and he is 2 years older. he also pissed away a full ride scholarship to play soccer

some have it some don't; this has nothing to do w/ race or income
