    Default Ditch the SpecV?????

should I continue to invest money in the SpecV or should I upgrade to a more expensive but faster stock car? The SpecV has alot of miles on it but it will be paid off soon. My wife wants an Evo or a Supra. I only have bolt ons n the spec.

No payment = TONS O MONEY to mod with. There are LOTS of options for the Spec bro. Sr20 swap, build/boost the QR, you name it. I make enuff to drive a lot more expensive shit than I have... but I also have the title to everything in my yard and can mod freely... no payment is a Godsend bro... seriously. Something to consider.

car payment= u have to pay it,

nothing beats the freedom of haveing money to mod, but not having to spend that money if u dont want to.
And miles to go before I sleep,

Spec V is not the ride to SC bro. Well I said that wrong, the QR25 is not the ENGINE to SC. You want to boost (turbo) it or go N/A. A good place to start = www.specplace.com and www.b15sentra.net

You will find most Nissan specific forums to be SERIOUS. You have to be when most of your platforms do not have the aftermarket support that Hondas have. I had NO choice but to go big on my Spec it seemed. I say keep it and then you are payment free.

shes a big fan of both she seemed to like the looks a little more once she felt the power. I like the all around package of the evo, performance and styling.

The man makes the car not vise versa, so im thinking if you wanna look straight in a car you need to mod yourself first.

But... is still a Honda... and How you know hes broke? He might have cheese and you dont know it.

Keep the Spec V, once Paid Off, if you want get a new ride if its within your budget.. if its not in your budget then don't.
I say, If you have a year left on the Spec V, keep it , pay it off.. then buy a new one... The Spec V can be a daily beater..

If you have/make the money to do it .. do it..

The way I see it :

If you make good money.. Don't be skureeed to spend.. aslong as these are straight :

    rent/morg
    Bills
    Health insurance
    Retirement/401k
    Nice Cushing in your savings
    Credit card Bills - Low

Then you good to enjoy your money...

    and thats my outlook.

So far it looks like most are saying to stick with the specv and Im pretty sure thats the direction Im gonna go, I dont have much done to it so I can still get alot out of it but the question is stil out there on whether or not the motor with 120,000+ miles on it can handle boost.

On a serious note I know how much he makes cuz I work with him, I just got this account to check out the forum and to bust his balls. I think he should ditch the Spec V and get something else, high ass mileage. BTW that "its still a honda" statement was pretty harsh, im not a big fan of the ricer side of hondas reputation.

    Cool then.

120k miles is not really alot.. especially for a Nissan.. actually for any car that has been well maintained.
Like I said, If he only has like a year left or so to pay it of, keep the Spec V and then once paid of, buy something else.

the car has been well maintained, my dad put 110,000 of those miles on it cause he drove it when I first left for the army and hes like, old and shit, so the car is still in great shape.
