Why is that, because you don't like fashion. I amazes me that people will spend ungodly amounts of money on cars and then have the nerve to criticize others for their spending habits. Next time think before you open your mouth.

I like fashion but I fail to see any point of paying $200 for a hangbag just because it has LV written on the side. Maybe you should be the one who thinks before talking.

For example; Flyin' Miata has an exhaust for my MSM for $600. Yet I found a custom no-name exhaust that gave me the exact same dyno results for $300.

Guess which one I bought?

You can still be "in fashion" and with the "scene" without wasting your money on stupid sh*t that really has no better quality than something from your local department store.

Sure you can, but it's about functionality when it comes to car modification. Whether it be a $100 part or a $500 one, if they do the same thing then I'm not going to waste my money just because it has HKS or something stamped on it. Are you going to modify your Prada handbag? Maybe upgrade the handstrap? Yeah okay.

It is sad, but thats how things work, have you ever had a corporate job, a business meeting with bankers. You dont show up to meet the people loaning you 6 million dollars wearing blue jeans a drifting shirt. No you show up in Prada, or Ralph Lauren. You follow yet.

I'm trying to see your point but I still fail to see any justification for spending big money on something that is no better than something that is cheaper, just for the sake of having a name brand.

For business affairs, I pretty much just show up looking decent with a clean polo shirt. It gives a sense that care for a clean, solid appearance, but that I'm also a laid-back, realistic human being. I don't use material fashion to promote myself and I don't plan to. I can use my personality and past experiences to speak for me.

Take your loan scenario for example. I think that by holding a good credit score and history as well as solid work ethnic (if starting a business with said loan) will speak louder volumes than showing up dressed like P.Diddy. If you really must spend lots of money on material things just to have people think that you're something special or so you'll be fashionable, then that's pretty sad. That, by the way, wasn't a direct attack against you. Just in general.
