Another War Story From Iraq

I've got a rebuttal for you, no prob......

The man that is a million miles away is doing something YOU not only didn't do, but have said WOULDN'T do. Scared, don't agree with it, tree hugger....doesn't matter. HE, along with thousands of others, are doing what YOU and I aren't doing. They deserve at minimum our gratitude and respect for affording all of us the opportunity to sit back and post totally stupid crap on the internet. The "freedom" everyone so badly desires costs not only money, but far more.....it takes brave people's LIVES to secure that for YOU and I. YOU should go to Arlington with a bowed head and hat off for those men and women that decided even YOU were worth fighting for.

So, I tell you and all the people that don't agree with this or any war:

War is a necessary evil of our society's quest for "freedom". Like it or not, there are actually people right this second plotting and scheming to KILL YOU, ME, YOUR PARENTS, YOUR FAMILY, and ANYONE that doesn't agree with their agenda. If soldiers, like our friend here, don't stand up and fight them....as proved by 9/11.....they will certainly come and fight US here. You pacifists can blow your nose on the American flag, burn it, and protest against all you want.....but the bottomline is that if it weren't for brave soldiers willing to make the ultimate sacrifice NOONE would have that right.


So, you wanna say something about this war......go for it. Remember though that the soldiers are affording you that right by doing something YOU wouldn't do. So at the very least show them the respect and dignity they deserve by merely buttoning up their BDU's and lacing up their boots while taking up a post that YOU nor I had the BALLS to.

U.S. Soldiers not only deserve MY respect, but they have EARNED it.

We all understand that busters are everywhere and Ive been talking to my friends here about the ignorant statements people have been making on here simply because the only education they have about whats going on is what they hear on the news, it really amuses all of us and we do appreciate all the strong supporters we have like you. Like I said, media wars are very common. But that doesn't excuse a semi-intelligent person's use of common sense.

Bad stories SELL, period. The warm hearted U.S. soldier holding a baby or feeding a starving family or the soldiers building new schools is NOT what is broadcast because it doesn't SELL as much as sensationalism.

Yes, roadside bombs do kill. Yes, soldiers do die there serving their country and doing a job they would rather not do. But when you're bombarded by nightly reports of only ONE side of the equation, it stands to reason that the majority of people that don't surf the net or have friends there or hear first hand accounts to rebutt the media onslought WILL believe this is a war we'll never win.

It's funny how people don't notice that biased media likes to report one story, but rarely do you see a "follow-up" or "end" to that story. Why you ask? Because often times that "ending" is different than their agenda and therefore gets conviniently lost in the shuffle. So people only get ONE side of the story, the side THEY want to sell/show.

The media only reports the controversial things that go on out here, thst is where all the termoil comes from with all the tree huggers that hate on the troops doing their jobs.
