Ohhh, you mean right at the top of the hill just before the gate? I remember. I was gonna jump on it like you asked, but Hall County was at the gate. It would've been ugly.....

buahahaha... funniest thing i've read in a while. most of the jap cars you see out there are 400+whp. that's more than enough power to do the uphill section.

Yes, but you forgot to put the "torque" into the equation.

i thought the drifting was very good but i was less than impressed with the car show... the circuit city mobile display rocked!

i sat on the opposite side of the track from cliff and i was getting rubber in my eyes.. the fence was so close to the outside of the horse shoe it was awesome.

but there were mustangs there... and pretty kickass ones at that. JR's Team Falken mustang was the meanest thing out there, but they were having heat issues and belt slippage on the supercharger so it didn't run much. but hot damn when he did get out there that thing smoked the hell out of some tires like no other.

sorry bro, i'm not a drift expert, i'll leave that up to u?

but i still think power was a big part of it, that and skills maybe? i dunno, just seem like the american cars where doing alot better. and not most of those cars were, maybe not even 1/4 of them were. enjuku is pushing 328 on the torque side. no need to even talk about there whp.

dones't take 400+ hp to drift a car, these cars were not ready for this up hill.

if you wish... i was just pointing out that you say they were underpowered, but if you saw a dyno chart from 99% of them you'd say "DAMN". i was talking to Calvin Wan for a bit and they said that the G35 was making too much power and that they were going to turn the boost down. at the time it was estimated by the crew guys to be ~460rwhp. even after they toned it down he was still linking the horseshoe exit all the way down to 10b. Dai's car (the guy that got 2nd place) was estimated to be around 350whp and he was doing the same.

now, i do believe the guys like Taka that choose to drive lower powered cars do tend to be kickass drivers, but you can't take anything away from Sam or Rhys because of the cars they drive. more power doesn't cover up shitty driving, it accentuates it more than you'd believe.

skills definitely... Millen and Hubinette have both been pro drivers for years and years. most of these other guys are basically newbies to pro driving on any level.

i hear ya bro, but i don't see what was so funny about my statement. we just named a few that didn't have much problem runnin the track, most of the rest did. the other cars that had enough power just didn't have the best drivers behind the wheel. but yes i do agree sometimes to much power is not the best thing either.

it just sounded a lot like the complaints from last year about hubinette driving a viper and such. that was the argument on everyone's minds last year when all was said and done... did he win because he's a good driver or because of power advantage? i was apparently the only person that went to the event that thought he had major skill to keep that car precise, that's all .

i agree with u on that, thats like sayin Rhys Millen can't drive, when we all know he is 1 of the best drivers out there. i don't think u can get any better then to have a great driver in a great car. but sayin sam is doing all the work would be wrong too. he has a great car to back his skills. but i agree with u on that, takes skills to drive the viper, not anyone can do it.
