^ ya car show was lame, what 50 cars maybe? GTO, Mustangs, Viper = HOT
The nicest cars there were the usual eci &team allstar cars, and Purple Godzillas Skyline.
not even 50 cars...maybe 30....WHO SAW THE BUG ZAPPER BETWEEN 8:30-10 DOWN BY THE FENCE!!!!! WOOOHOOOOO
does anyone think theres a conspiracy for the viper to win? i mean, the corolla was doing well, especially since it had 1/4th of the power of the viper. it sure was holding his own..and all of a sudden ends up with an overheating problem
yeah the drifting this year was amazing...especially the viper vs corrolla heat (which they did over like 4 times)...i still can't believe how approachable the drivers are....i had like a 15 minute conversation with rhys millen...the car show kinda sucked...but overall i had a blast!

yea and everyone saw how well chevy held it down....and to go back to when everyone used to hate that they were letting american cars into japanese drifting...i'm glad they did cause the el camino, gto, viper, and mustangs made the whole thing alot more interesting and fun to me

no sammuel didnt whip ass and the viper didnt own all. he won by DEFAULT. yes hes a real good driver but to advance cause a car "overheaded" come on. the 86 kicked ass and should have won if they judged it and not said "one more time". there were runs closer than them two that they advanced. but thats IMO

ohwell, he won the rest of the competition. So i guess he doesn't suck too bad.
I think he has won all but 1 of the Formula D events.
Oh well.

Val for president!
Yes, I would have voted for her.
In loving memory of Valerie Antranikian.
yesterday was cool as hell. and id have to say the gto, mustangs, vipers and the el camino were the hottest. was some awesome shit.
they had better bring it back next year.
The whole event was wack.... hopefully the event will come back.. Judging by the attendance, chances are this event might not come back, wich sucks. Thanks GA.

Too few people showing, too much time, and too far from everywhere else stuff happened. In the end, a car w/ one body mod and a very undetailed engine won BOS, and there were 2 civics that should beat that car to a pulp on a score sheet.Originally Posted by josh nixon

the drift crowde was awesome as far as that goes...there tons of people there to watch and you could tell from how many cars were spread everywhere...but the show...wtf that was nuts....if anything that's what killed the whole event....and Greg that was the first time i have seen your car in person and WOW that thing is beautiful...very nice....
Thanks alot , its a nice daily driver IMO, barely a show vehicle.Originally Posted by Z71StarsNBarsZ71
Julio, the Tsunami/Kicker mustang won BOS. Great paint but no graphics in his jambs...they just stop (one body mod w/ the tail light sliding out) and a few polished engine pieces, (Not like Jeff and especially Tim w/ swap, and turbo, and polish etc etc) and its dash was awesome, but they gave Jeff best interior. So what made it the Best? We thought it was Jeff or Tim for sure. They typically like more flash than subtle, so we thought we had a better than 50% chance.... We were wrong.
damn, that sucks... Maybe the Circuit City booth gave him an edge.
haha i saw the zapper....

^ look who the sponsor was and what booth he was in... what do you expect? politics...
the american cars did very good b/c of the gay ass track. that up hill push to to much for most of the jap cars. where they more turns and none of that uphill shit it would have been a different story.

but i still think power was a big part of it, that and skills maybe? i dunno, just seem like the american cars where doing alot better. and not most of those cars were, maybe not even 1/4 of them were. enjuku is pushing 328 on the torque side. no need to even talk about there whp.
dones't take 400+ hp to drift a car, these cars were not ready for this up hill.

Dai's car (the guy that got 2nd place) was estimated to be around 350whp and he was doing the same.
now, i do believe the guys like Taka that choose to drive lower powered cars do tend to be kickass drivers, but you can't take anything away from Sam or Rhys because of the cars they drive. more power doesn't cover up shitty driving, it accentuates it more than you'd believe.

i hear ya bro, but i don't see what was so funny about my statement. we just named a few that didn't have much problem runnin the track, most of the rest did. the other cars that had enough power just didn't have the best drivers behind the wheel. but yes i do agree sometimes to much power is not the best thing either.Originally Posted by HiPSI

Yeah Josh, Jeff had never lost to that car til now. (in like 5-6 shows) Jeff knew it was him or Tim, once the Honda class was called we thought he was good, until he got best interior, then we all were prepared for it. If there was no $1,000 for BOS, I wouldnt even made a comment in reply on here, but we stayed up all night to try to win the $$ ... and if we knew this would have been comin, we'd not been puttin ALL the glass in Jeffs car at 10:30 Fri eve.
Oh well, We will still return in Oct, and give them NO excuses... except possibly someone else really is better.
Some pics from sat.
