Homeless people bugging your for stuff...

Ok so I work in Atlanta and am down here all the time. If you have ever been in Atlanta you probably know about the problem with all of the homeless people begging for stuff when you're down here. I've gotten so many different storys and reasons people need money or a smoke or whatever it may be. Most of the time I'll bum them a cigg but don't give them money.

My question is how do you guys handle the homeless beggers? Do you have any funny/crazy stories about them?

I'm just about to start being fucking rude to them because I'm getting tired of it.



My most recent encounter which isn't really funny but something similar to what I get was, I was sitting at a light almost in front of the CNN center about to pull into the parking deck. I had my windows down and a guy walked by and said something like "Nice car man, that thing fast?" so I just say yeah I guess, thanks. He continues to make stupid small talk for another few seconds and then ends by asking me for like $2. I mean, don't bullshit with me and waste my time just to ask me for money... I dunno, maybe it's just me...

Most of the time when homeless people come up to my car and let the windows all the way up and when they say put the window down. I say NAH i can hear through the sunroof.....I try to ignore them but most times that dont work

The other thing i hate is when they ask you, you say no, then they keep asking or trying to explain themselves. Next time iI'm going to go off on them if they keep bothering me after i say no the first time. I don't mind them asking once too much as long as they're polite and don't smell, but after i say no they should LEAVE.

Some guy came up to me at the varsity last time... I honestly would have blown over the legal limit just from being around that guy's breath. He wanted "marta fare", so i gave it to him. Who am i to keep a bum from his liqour?

I never really got bothered all that much in new york. Although... Once while i was standing next to my work truck waiting to get approved for a delivery at madison square garden some dude walked up to me and started SCREAMING like i offended his mother. He screamed at me for like 2-3 minutes for no apparently reason. I had never seen the guy in my life and i couldn't make out one word... Out of nowhere, mid sentence, he turns around and staggers away.

No idea what it was all about but i have a feeling he was retarded.

LOL seems like I've seen something similar in a video somewhere... heh I had a guy come up to me last time i was at the Varsity too. He started by asking me if he could use brake fluid in his transmission. I was like NnooOOoooO... I told him to just use like 10w30 if he absolutly had to, but he said it was too late... He went on about how his family was in the car waiting for him to fix it and just ended up asking for a few dollars. I called bullshit and said no. I think it's messed up when they invade meets and gatherings and such. Kinda like that other thread with the mormons or whatever that invaded the walmart parking lot haha. They're just as bad to me most of the time...

Yeh I hear ya to a certain extent... If I have the money to spare i do it sometimes. Usually I'll just give them all the change in my pocket. I just feel sometimes like me giving them money keeps them on the streets one day longer. Like if they keep getting free money on the streets then why would they have the urge to do something about their problem like find a job or temporary housing or anything. There are plenty of places that take people in like that for a month or two to get them on their feet, house them and help them get jobs so they can live on their own agian...
