no problem man. If it wasnt for Chuck on here, i wouldnt be going to the school that im at now. If you want to get into the racing aspect, check out www.laniertech.edu they are sponsored by panoz. You can talk to s14slider on here, he is enrolled in that class. But i would suggest checking out gwinette tech. tooOriginally Posted by slowrolla97
Cool cool i will look into it. Thanks for the info agian. I need to make sure I go to the right school cuse it will pretty much set the rest of my life up.
No problem. Your right about picking the right school. You may want to check into VC tech and Wyo Tech. Both seem to be pretty good school. I didnt check the prices on those but i am sure they are pretty expensive.Originally Posted by slowrolla97
Yeah i looked into Wyo Tech and they are around the same as Uti but they have on campus housing. UTI lacks that so on top of the 20k you need an apartment
dude fuck that...
if you have money to spend... think about it... you're not going to have anything mindnumbingly fast.
Just build something fun to drive, fuckin 4AGE 20v all the mother fucking way... u can redline it higher than a honda and its built to last. If you're gonna spend 5k on the motor of something, why a corolla? (just my 2 cents)
If i wanted to spend 5k on a motor, i'd sell the corolla, pick up a cheap project, then go for speed., or just save up some more and keep this as a DAILY and have another not so daily (what i did)
Project cars never make good dailys (i learned this the hard way)
btw we frown upon posts like this in the whoreslounge, such blasphemy
please explain how you could even manage to spend 5000 on a 3sgte swap.

What the hell, no D-16?
depends on which generation you pick as well as the carOriginally Posted by slowrolla97
celica
gen 1:185@6000rpm
gen 2:225@6400rpm
gen 3:225-230@6500 also a limited edition RC 235(WRC)
MR2:
any gen:200
If i were you i would look into the 3SGE (N/A version) the later versions 3-4 made amazing power and can be taken into the 200+whp range with bolt ons and some tuning!!!the gen 4 BEAMS(Breakthrough Engine with Advanced Mechanism System) version made 200@7100rpm(8300 rpm redline) to the crank stock NA!!!!!they rev very high and actually make some tq lol. this would be alot cheaper and give you more than enough power to rip it up on the street/track.they make amazing track motors, its also what im planning to do to my MKI MR2! IMHO the GTE would be too much for a FWD car...wheel spin would own you!

And '99 3000gt VR-4 is one of the best put together, performing, and looking import supercar ever.
So is the 91-92 Galant VR-4. <--Shameless self promotion.
no offense, but I would save the money from the swap, sell your car, and buy something with more potential stock. maybe an mr2 turbo, if you like that engine. the overall resale value will be better that way, and youll have an mr2...

Actually, I can aprpeciate the fun of having something that is a lot faster than expected, hence why I have a fast s10 LOL
Keep in mind that if you have FWD, you are always going to deal with the limitations of that if you want to make something quick.
It all depends on how much disposable income you have. I dont know what your finances are, but I know from personal experience that it hurts like hell when you spend a shitload of money building a swap car, then you try to sell it, and its worth less than a stock version of the car you started with.
There are a lot of cars that have a lot more potential stock, that you could have fun with and make a serious sleeper, but still keep retail.
Build a mazda 323gtx...they are pretty cheap, AWD, turbo'd, and look like an econobox. Hardly anyone knows what they are, either.
