They should put him in a stockade in downtown NY (with security). Passers by should be allowed 1 strike (no weapons). When he is within 1 inch of death, they should take him to get treated, and give him sometime to heal before repeating the process.

Spending your life in prison is a worse punishment than simply dying... I mean I dunno what's going to happen to him after he dies, but simply spending your life confined and treated like an animal is way worse than a couple seconds of pain I would think.

I had actually read that the point was made to the jury that, if he were executed for it, he would become a martyr for al-qaeda, which they didnt want. This way, he'll get shanked after being forced to toss someones salad, and the problem will just go away

the nine men and three women in the jury are quite possibly the most worthless fucks in america. he helped to kill thousands of people and we dont take his life? His case would be a prime example of when the death penalty is not only needed but mandatory. It seems as if the death penalty law was written for a case just like this.

By giving the death penalty they would have given inspiration to Al Qaeda. The insurgents would have their hero and martyr. We all know he is going to get killed in prison, so in the end it will end the same.
