They should make it where you can hook it up to the TV when your home.

it's not hype... people probably just realize they never use it....i want one so bad but came to the realization that i'd never play it. if i'm home i have ps2,dvd,music,etc... i'll buy one when they come down in price. it'd be perfect for someone w/ a mundane job but i don't work, soo.....people buy it to have it then realize they don't play it enough and would rather have 200 bucks.

    my theory.

BTW... wireless internest too, what's not to like? seriously this is one hell of a machine:
umd movies, mp3 player, mpeg player, internet, games, wireless remote control for anything (sony has frequencies for everything), psp is bad azz

Indeed it is, very very impressive..BUT i think they could scratch the UMD movies, and added the Cellular capabilities fromt he start. Its supposedly to be a extra for cellular capabilities in the future. The UMD movies are only made with 4 production companies..and sony owns 2 of them. whens the last time sony produced a movie...befor espiderman2. But its a bad ass machine.. i just dont think its neccesarily useful yet.

Add the cell phone capabilities, and it would probrablky sell a thousand times over..

jitb, i disagree on the cellphone feature...too clunky for a cell phone. i like the umd movies, i'd like to see a 3-5 megapixel camera though.

    nismo, i don't have a psp...that's someone off h-t, plus i don't smoke the cheebah.

thats how it will appeal to me. B/c i am lookin for a new cel lphone, and a Mp3 player..lol So if it did it would be almost perfect, for me, and worht the 250$.

but it would look weird, as a phone, if it was al il smaller.. like a sidekick size. Sony will make it cool looking it the cellphone upgrade ever gets off the ground.

BTW i tried to use the PSP, as a USB hard drive witht he PS2, and it wouldnt work.....that was a little disappointing..

If it had wireless and a bult in cell phone. I would have already bought it. Wait around. They are coming out with one that is cheaper and will have wireless internet built in. then I am getting one for sure.
