LOL. I like to keep 'em guessing. Before moving back here I worked at Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs) for NORAD (Dept of Homeland Defense) as a C2, C4. and C4i (not exlposives... LOL) UNIX Engineer. We basically used satellites for VERY bad things all in the name of securing the nation. Before that I was a C2 UNIX Engineer in the Air Force for 4 years, and the 4 years prior to that I was a CDMT on the US Air Force E-3 Sentry AWACS "surveillance" aircraft. I am still a Dept. of Defense employee, but only as a contractor now ($$). I am no longer in the Air Force. I try not to look like the "typical" geek when I am not @ work, but it's a VERY decent gig. Not something I want to do forever though. I hold a Top Secret SCI security clearance, and there are just some things that I get briefed on that I'd rather not know. And also when I look around, I see a lotta 50 year old DIVORCED men/women who have given their lives and their wives & hubbies to an organization (DoD) that is incapable of appreciating the sacrifice. I do not plan on being one of those divorcees when I am that age... I will cut and run b4 I let it consume my life.Originally Posted by tony
