lol I went today. Having taken a full on anatomy class I really liked it; but its just plain excellent no matter who you are.

They have this big box.......its full of packs of cigs.

You read whats behind it and it say for every pack you smoke you lose 2 hours and 23 minutes off you life....help yourself live longer and throw them away.

There is a full body with just veins, and one of just nerves, etc etc. If you ever wanted to see how something looks in 3x ways, you should go.

All in all a great exibit; theres more stuff then I can remember. So good I might go again; it theres a group thing let me know.

Are you fucking serious? I've been smoking a pack per day for over 10years. I dont even want to calculate the time I've lost. Is there a way to get that time back? I mean, what's being "killed" in your body that makes you lose 2hours and 23 min? Is it definite damage or healable?

They also have lungs and cross sections from heavy smokers...and its sick. Your lungs are black as hell. They showed the different things that can happen, and it is NASTY. Go see it; it might scare you enough to stop.

Oh and what happens (from the audio i heard) is that it affects the body's ability to get oxygen to the organs.

you only lost about one day.

    2 hours times 10 =20 hours
    23 minutes times 10 =230 minutes
    230 minutes divided by 60 = about 3.8 hours.

so for 10 years of smokin a pack a day you only lose about one day.

Actually they say I think within 6 months or so your lungs return to the pink color when you smoke and the damage done starts to reverse itself.

i think this is only if you are a recent smoker...once you have smoked for say 10 years its never going to return to normal...but it def. will improve if u stop smoking...going to this place this weekend and can't wait...
