That is why I am in school for accounting...fuck all the webpage, computer networking, etc. jobs since everyone is in that business. I am getting my Masters in accounting and getting a CPA certification, and then I can do whatever the hell I want. At first it will be working with a decent sized company, but after that I can start my own business...and no not an accounting firm, but whatever I want since I will be my own accountant and know what I can or cannot write off. If you do decide to go back to school do as Julio said...go for something worth while and that will most surely promise a good job/career afterward. Good luck man. It is hard work period lol.

Accounting is my major too. I am going for pretty much the same reasons, but instead of starting off working for someone I am working for myself. If my business doesn't work I will have something to fall back on. I want my own car shop. I am investing in Jesse's business so we will be partners since he knows more about cars than I do plus he has a degree in mechanics.

yup cuz honestly, even if you make a shit load of money at your job, that dont mean your goin to be happy. my parents basically almost live pay check to pay check, not completely, but yeah. they didnt really start saving up and what not when they were teens or college kids...so they never really had that much money saved up for retirement. but even tho they live pay check to pay check, they are still 30 years married and happy as hell. they like their jobs even tho they have their ups and downs

to be completly honest, i had no intention of going back. i said i might one day, but i honestly never wanted to... until now. looking back, my last job was ok because i was still very young, fresh outta highschool, barely in college, and i was doing ok... then things started going down hill, so it was time for a change. i had heard about other opportunities and i decided to try it. at first, it was good. not HOLY SHIT I'M A BIG BALLER, but i did ok. now i'm tired of just doing "ok" and want to have a job i can really be proud of. i'm looking at long term now instead of "hey with this paycheck, i can do XXX to the car!!!" now i'm looking at, when i want to settle down and possibly start a family, i want the means to do so. i want to start preparing now for what i want to accomplish in the future.

Yes, College is great , But if you going for a career that the pay is going to be lame, In my eyes, Why waste your time?
I have only have 2 jobs in my Life SInce I was 16 im 27 now, Been very happy with the decision I made.
Money is not everything in this life and it might not make some happy, But it sure as hell rents the fuck out of it.

What do I get with a degree that more then likely I will never use? I know ALOT of people that are in that situation, Bad decisions in there young life.. I wish college Students had "Better" counseling while going to school and help them more, I dont think is as strong as it should be.
You know how many 25 year old Peeps are out there fresh out of college, with a diploma, No job, No savings and Student loans up the ass and terrible ass credit? ALOT.
Sucks Sucks Sucks Sucks. Go to School for something you are familiar with and really want to do .. but Please be smart and do not go to school for something that will pay a salary under 40 k .. Thats a waste of time...But hey, if it makes you happy then go for it.

Thats the most important thing.. I mean with the money I bought my house for.. I could have the fastest supra in the world.. and yes I love my car but im thinking more towards the future.. Honestly there are jobs that many people may like doing but they're making meager money off of it and barely living. Whats the point in that?

Teachers is one example. I respect the hell out of people that want to teach and can actually do it well. But they really don't make too much money to be living to comfortably, house, cars, vacations, kids etc. It would just be to hard.

Where are you planning on going? I dont know exactly where you're from but I've been to the dunwoody, lawrenceville, and decatur Georgia perimeter college campuses... I recommend the dunwoody campus out of all of them. I didnt like decature... and lawrenceville is out because they are switching over to gwinnett university within the next year or so and wont be accredited from what ive heard. I also went to gwinnett tech which is decent if you are just starting back out.

cramer, i've got like one semester to finish my assoc. at gpc, so i may as well finish that up. from there, i'm hopin to get into georgia state.

i have wanted to do that since i was in high school. now i can afford it so i think Ash and me are gonna move out there for a year. we are thinking either wyotech or UTI. either one will be awesome. they both open so many big doors.

yeah true, teachers dont make a lot of money starting out, but again that depends on how much schooling you have, if you go farther in college getting your specialist/masters degree's and what have you you get more money or it allows you to get into hire positions that make more money instead of having to be in the feild for like 30 years before you are a principal. most teachers on the other hand dont go into it for the money. i mean me for example, im going to school for an education/history major and i know they dont make alot of money, but honest that doesnt matter im doing it cuz i want to do it. 40k yea thats not that much to support a family. but honestly, many families now a days have a two income house hold anyways. not because they have to be but because people just dont like sitting around on their asses anymore
