As for the kid thing...you can still go out, and have a good time....while raising a kid...as long as you arrange proper child care. Oh and as long as its not every night, once a week or something...not bad...but every night is as bit much@

I have no kids but I do have a Pug that if I go out, he has proper supervision and plenty of doggie toys and treats....
