PENSACOLA, Fla. -- A warrant is issued for a second middle school teacher accused of letting students sit out of gym class in exchange for $1.
The Escambia County, Fla., Sheriff's Office said 39-year-old Tamara Tootle is facing bribery charges.
Authorities said Tootle told students at Ernest Ward Middle School that they didn't have to dress for her physical education class, but would still receive a 100 percent for participation if they gave her $1.
A spokesman for the school district said Tootle resigned before the warrant was issued.
A former teacher at the same school was arrested in February on bribery charges.
Officials said 28-year-old Terence Braxton of Atmore, Ala., could have made thousands of dollars pulling the same stunt.
He has a court appearance May 3.
School officials don't believe any other teachers were involved.`
