mines not a 97 but should be the same: just fold down the back part, and there should be a little peg thing out of each end going into a hole in the side of the car to hold it in. just kinda push one side inwards toward the middle and that side should pop out. then u can just pulll out the entire back part. then there should be one bolt holding the actual seat part onto the car, #12 or #14, cant remember. take that out and then the bottom should just pull right out....voila!!
