    NOT THE RAM!
Ask any Dodge RAM owner with over 80k on the truck how many times they have had to replace their Trannys.
If you go for the beemer, your looking at very high prices on parts.
I think the oil filter alone can run over $30.

I don't like any of those, so I don't know which to choose. I guess the bmw, but it would have to be a 3 series for that price (not the m3). I think I'd rather have a gsr.

My dad's RAM has 85,557 miles on it, and no tranny problems at all. The rear end isn't too happy (probably from when I was 16....) But no transmission problems.

not just any BMW but MY BMW...its a 92 but buy it for $3500 then dump $1500-2500 (IE one of the two 325 motors for sale) in goodies in it and you'll be set!!! DO IT! Its the same body style as the years you are looking at.

no, before the board crashed there were two people who were parting out complete, but crashed, 325's, they both had good engines...and you're right, i don't like it because its sloooooooooooooooooooow, but if i had the money i'd buy one of their engines and some bolt on's and keep the thing. i wouldn't offer to sell it if i was %100 happy with it. but anywho, good luch with the GT, let us know how it goes.

I'd say BMW or 240 - more partial to 240's cause they are Nissan's
