Default I think im sick. (considering a domestic)

Ever since i started working at barry grant(demon carbs) and hearing 350's and 502's on the motor dyno all day im starting to want a domestic. Im seriously considering buyin an older chevy pickup and moddding it a little bit.(new motor, paint, fully shaved, and prolly air suspension) Anyone else ever considered switching sides? I mean i love imports and all but i think its time to build a truck.

Thats why I am back to one honda, selling my other one, and buying a 66/67 Chevelle SS396. There are hardcore fanatics out there that are loyal to only one brand, then there are those of us who are car fanatics that love all kinds. I love all kinds of makes and models but grew up on the old hot rods and mini trucks so that is where my passion really lies.

dude if i had some extra cash laying around i'd buy a 02+ cobra, or a black T/A with Ws6 package.....i just want to see people's reaction when a skinny indian kid pulls up with a cobra...or black T/A.

i got love for all types of cars...i just like making fun of domestics though...

Buy a domestic and dump half as much into it as you would a 4cyl, and go twice as fast

Pretty much. I mean looking at crate motors their like 3700 and i think i could prolly get them a little cheaper seeing as how demon makes the carbs for chevy/gm crate motors. the only real downfall i see to building such an old car is havin to eventually bite the bullet and fully restore it. i mean isntead of having to replace little shit here and there.

But the difference there is that if you build a car that is woth something, ss chevelles, late 60's camaros, 55-57 chevy bel airs, etc. The money you invest in them you can get back out easily. The older cars might require more work but you can't just go to the dealership and buy one. It is an investment that if done right can yeild most of your money back if you decide to sell it. Now grant it this does not apply to newer muscle cars but the older ones.

yeah...that truck looks kinda bad ass..... but thats the most useless thing ive seen..... stacked blowers.....yeah lets compress, compressed air and blow out my block / throw numerous rods. GREAT idea.... its much more cost effecient to throw a blower on a larger C.I. engine.... like a 454 or 502 ...or a 572 if u got the balls.... heh.... but NOT 2 blowers on a 350.....= dumb (IMHO)
