Doesnt matter where it is, just a pressure source on the ic piping so the wastegate can get a reading.

so, installing a nozzle on the pipe that comes off of the turbo will do just fine?

why go through all the hassle when you can just run your pressure source off the throttle body? that'll even help account for pressure loss across the intercooler.

There's essentially two ways to do it...

    1. Tap a pressure source either on the compressor housing of the turbo or anywhere on the lower i/c piping. This will give you an accurate measurement of how hard your turbo is working and doesn't take into account pressure drop from the travel distance of the turbo to the intake manifold.

    2. T off of the line from the intake manifold/bov. This will give you an accurate measurement of how much pressure is actually reaching the intake manifold after the distance of travel of the pressure itself.

Both have its small advnatages and disadvantages... I personally prefer tapping into the compressor housing of the turbo directly.

I was wondering if a turbi was like the mini-me's of turbos. Later, QD.
