So, why is it that most of the car specific forums

like Ephatch.com

...all seem like they are a bunch of one minded, 16 year olds who are too caught up in whatever is cool at the moment to think of doing somethnig new

I hate the fact that the One website devoted to my car is overpopulted with posts like" which ***CAR PAR*** is better?" and "Check out my new jdm **CAR PART**" and i hate this, then everone chimes in with why they agree, and god forbid anyone disagree with the majority

i'm so sick of the "its JDM so its cool" group, and people that know nothnig about say... nitrous(as an example)... telling me how they know a buddies friend's unles' sister who blew up their motor cause they were running nitrous. These web sites have this social hierarchy that unless your jdm, have a turbo, and a lip kit... that you dont know anythign about the car

i was talking to a guy about dealerships and why he does not like them, none of the ppl in the post have ever even professionaly worked on cars, much less a dealership so i let them know how things are on my end. then what do i get? No, not a thoughtful response... i get a guy from cali with 5,xxx posts calling me a fag? wtf!

I hate the website, and at the same time i read to see when companies are making new stuff for it and to see when, on the small chance, someone does something new.

Car specific forums usually seem to be so fargone from reality that its really sad. I know over on supraforums thats the only forum I've been a member of where every car wash warrants a bout 3 threads and about 43 pics from 97 different angles. Don't get me wrong, theres some cool people over there but they're pretty much not in touch with reality anymore. "Hey look, I windexed my rearview mirror *56K GO AWAY* (49 hi-res pictures of mirror)"

The Honda website i have been on for years did one of those top 10 web sites things with us... and we got more hits so they stopped doing it lol

for a while we were the fastest growing honda website on the net. Small group of maybe.... 20 people been on the same website since ... i'd say 2001
