    Default computer virus help

    I had the trojan.alemod virus on my computer and finally found a softare to download that can delete it and clear my problems. Well, now my computer is running great but my wallpaper is solid white. I tried to right click on 1 of my pictures and set as background but nothing happened. Can anyone help me out?

    Most lilley cause your active desktop or whatever its called is now turned off.

    right click on desktop--> properties. you can fuck around with it there. i think. im sorta illiterate myself.

    ok i right clicked then went to properties all i get is "Not Available" and the connection is "Not Encrypted"

    So i did a little research and it looks like i have a desktop virus still on the computer. i just can't figure out how to get rid of it.

    go get avg, which is free antivirus, it should do the trick. You may want to boot into safe mode without networking (keep pressing F8 while booting until it asks you what mode to boot into) then scan while its in safe mode. Do that 2 or 3 times until it doesn't find any more viruses. Then get adaware (you can get it from download.com) and scan for spyware with that a few times. That should set you streight... Let me know if it continues after that or if you have any questions about what i've said...
