IA I need your opinion
Ok well I am about to fix up my dakota and am goin to get the sniper kit and not sure which hood I want to get. The SS or the Ram Air. I know some people say that body kits are rice but oh fuckin well I think dakotas look damn good with that on there.

I am not goin to try to make it fast. I am just goin to make it look good. I am spendin 7k on the outside and interior before I get it painted.
Now there is a guy who has a 4x4 dakota who just moved here and his is bad ass. He showed us his dyno sheet and that thing has 397 hp all motor. He says that he has some more things he is goin to put on it and it will have over 800 hp. He left where we was and turned it sideways all the way down the road. It is lifted and has chrome 20's and 33" Nittos

I am goin to make it into a show truck. That is also goin towards the interior. I will prolly get me a flip up cd/dvd/mp3 player so that will cost a good bit.

my truck is all i have now and I have been thinkin of this for a while but never really decided to do it but now I have made up my mind that I am goin to put bags, wheels, tonneau cover, sniper kit, new headlights, shave everything. That is to the outside. Inside not sure yet.
The screen I want is a touch screen that my friend has and it is over 1k

Price on parts all depends on who you know, and I think EVERYONE on here can vouch for that. Some unknown person walks into a store, they get quoted $150 for a part. A known regular/friend of employees and/or management walks in, they get the same part for $120. Just the way the world works. I was in the del Sol world for 3 years before I built my first show car for that exact reason.
But as far as your question goes, I personally have always been a fan of mixing fashion AND function, so my vote would go for the ram air hood. And keep in mind something... these days, it takes more than just flash paint and bags to win shows. The judges have seen that before. In the last few years they've been looking more and more at a car or truck as a total package: Does it go as fast as it looks? It's the vehicles with cojones under the hood that attract more and more attention. Do as you wish with your truck, but no one likes seeing a $2000 paint job, and then you pop the hood and it looks like ass, and is slow as poop to boot. Chris Foose puts it the best way... under the hood should be like opening a jewelry box... absolutely stunning.

the only thing I would do to the motor is get some things to make it look nicer. Nothin that will help with performance. I don't want speed I have gotten pulled over for racin and speedin to many times. I am over speed. And it would cost a shit load to get that v6 truck to be fast. I am goin all out on the body and interior though. I want to get some viper bucket seats and put it in there and get rid of the bench seat. I don't want anything to look like it did once I got that truck except for the motor maybe. The hood will never be open on it.
The main reason I decided to do this to my truck is cause I got it for a good deal. I bought it from my dad for 790 dollars. It is a 97 with only 85k miles on it. Only messed up once and that was the timing chain got loose. No dents in it or anything. But now that I have gotten it, there are dents all over it for some reason so I want to make it look nicer cause I am ashamed of it now.
Damn for 7k I would buy a mail-order-bride. Shit you could possibly get 2 of them. Get them a job at Wendys where they make more money in one hour then they normally get in a month. Dude, you could come home from work and you have 1-2 romainian/asian/russian girls doing things to repay your hospitality for getting them out of the shit hole they came from. Im saving up 20k to get four of them, look into it before spending that kind of cash on your car. My 2cents
