like I said though....get the Saleen, pulley and re-tune....you'd be faster than the SRT-10 and still get better mpg
    I seriously doubt it.

What? are you seriously kidding me?

STOCK 03/04 Cobra's with pulley, tune, and better exhaust have hit the 500hp mark.

Lightnings with the EXACT same motor, 5.4 S/C with better exhaust, pulley swap, tune, have done it as well.

It's been done time and time again.....so there's no doubting.

Ok Peter I am talking BONE STOCK....so if you say this has been done prove it, If I were to supercharge, and do all this stuff your talking about doing to it then I would have 700. Hennessey packages like the link you just showed. If you got the money you got the power. You don't even have to put a supercharger on the truck to even get 600.

because it's a V-10 truck. It should rightly have over 500hp, otherwise it's a joke to even put that kind of motor in there when you can assemble a V8 that could put those kinda numbers out. A gm or ford motor for that fact.

Let's go ahead and sit down with this....

A Dodge SRT-10 makes 500bhp w/525lbs of tq and weighs in at 5000lbs curb weight

the S331 makes 450bhp w/500lbs of tq and weighs in at 4700lbs curb weight.

The Saleen S331 is a Supercharged V8, it uses a roots twin screw S/C....a simple pulley change and re-tune would throw the truck well over 500bhp mark....because it's just up'ing the boost to the S/C....

with that said, that 1 modification would throw the S331 over the 500hp mark, and the fact its lighter, it shouldnt have a problem running down the SRT-10.

Both trucks are roughly the same price, but when it comes to power per dollar, the Saleen will win because that V-10 motor doesnt come cheap to mod....I mean....look at what the CAI runs for it....$595.....You can get a pulley and a half ass tune for that much for the Saleen.

I'm not trying to argue, I'm just saying that everyone who's driving and has modded a SVT knows instantly to make quick cheap power, to swap pulleys, get a re-tune....and bam, you're off and running.

you can goto a SVT Lightning or Cobra forum and you will see it for your self....I'm not making this shit up....it's there!
