Since you're looking for a car to support a married couple, consider a mid-full size sedan ie: 02-03 Maxima/Altima/Accord

Save the 20k, go snag a stripped shell at a junk yard and start bolting on the parts You'll enjoy it much more. I've made my wife help me on some projects and it turns into fun for them too, lol

I was going to pick up a 91 chassis 180 at a junk yard, had no motor/tranny. Was selling for $500, and was going to spend a few more bucks on a SR to slap in it.

are you planing on having children? that would be a big thing to consider.

that aside I really like: Evo9, IS300, Cobra, or a....GS-R MO' FO"!!!

you should just go to Carmax(don't buy ther PLEASE!) and test drive a bunch of cars. then when it's time to leave have a buddy call and tell the sales guy it's an emergency and you "must leave not". good luck
