Why would you ask for advice in the WL?

why would you ask for advice on the internet period? it's a bunch of people you don't know & who don't know you. i understand a lot of people on here do know each other, but if that's the case, then pick up the phone! i don't get it.

exactly! but why? it's the internet...if you need attention that bad, then go out & get it in public,not on a computer.
