Default On the first day of Christmas... So to speak.

Fixed my wife's diamond ring (she broke three prongs holding the diamond on).

Bought her a JA Henckel set of pots and pans.

Bought myself a new gun safe.

    Life is good.

What safe did you get? I need one badly but cant decide if I should go small and cheap to save for a high end one, or just get a lower end one in the size I need.

Neither! Buy the best one you can, if you can't afford the one you want save. I went the cheap route and was upset knowing my fire arms weren't really "safe", last yr I bought the one I wanted and was defiantly pleased and felt great knowing my guns would be safer from thieves and fire. Make sure to buy a good dehumidifier to prevent surface rust from the moister in the air.

I disagree. Definitely didn't get the Liberty safe I had my eye on (Liberty Safe Fatboy - #1 Big Gun Safes in America), but even it'll do for now. My kids would rather have Christmas than dad get another new safe. Anything is better than the current setup which the dumbest of thieves could still walk off with... Well if they manage past the dogs and bullets headed their way if they try. Plus it offered no fire protection. It was basically a fancy locker.

Got this, Stack-On | Products | 14 Gun Safe with Electronic Lock

    Nothing fancy, just the basics.

Today I picked up a custom oil painting for my mom (who's visiting) and a Kindle Fire HD-something or other for the two youngest (yes they have to share because Ima a cheap bastard/good father).

And some sweet Justin Bieber wrapping paper to wrap all my oldest daughter's presents in. LOLOLOLOLOL

I just hope she doesn't break her new phone throwing the Biebs through the window in a rage.

I found this recently and I imagine it would be in a comfortable price range for you.

Shop Liberty Centurion 24-Gun Black Gun Safe at Lowes.com

I may be getting the same safe to use as a temporary until I get my permanent one.

    Probably this one.

    Superior Master Series

Either the master 40 or 50. I want something large enough to store documents and ammo in also.

I need to get more guns before I can warrant spending money on a large safe.

Your supposed to buy the safe that way you have a reason to buy more guns... It works like this... "damn my safe is empty, I guess I better go get another gun". Then when the safe is full it's an excuse to buy a bigger safe, which means another excuse to buy more guns to fill it. It's a vicious cycle, I'll be buying another safe some time middle of next yr probably.
