Probably a combination of the white community being more accepting of gays than the black and black people feeling they already have enough perception issues to deal with without adding homosexuality to it. Even though being gay is somewhat acceptable in america, that isnt the case for the rest of the world. So, there's some historic cultural differences... and also simple math.... 70% of the population is white.
