Hopsin is like a black eminem, it would be great if he would make a song with eminem.
Immortal Technique is in a league if his own, cant compare him to no one else, he on some real shit

May get shit for this and I'm not familiar with his whole catalog but... Fabolous.

He really isn't though. His style and lyrics are really different than others, but to say he's in a league of his own...meh just like any other "Underground" rapper.

Again, you guys are only focusing on what you grew up on and heard. In order for your opinion on G.O.A.T. to be a little more valid is if you were listening to all eras and styles of hip hop. From the beginning. You're only talking about the best in your own time. Not of all time.

Okay I just saw this thread so that is why I'm quoting some older post's.
You are saying Em sounds the same in all of his music? He has so many different voices it's ridiculous!
You are correct. Eminem signed Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf
Although he is not a part of Slaughterhouse, he does appear on 3 of their songs from the newest album. Also, Joe Budden voluntarily stepped aside to allow Em to appear get on the track.
Whats a CD? Funny thing is, I Rolling Papers started playing on my IPod on the way home today, and I was thinking about how that is the only album of Wiz I like.
Before I see anything about Lil' Wayne or anyone from Young Money...
YMCMB = You're Mad Cause Marshall's Better.
Also, this "freestyle" from Eminem is pretty awesome.
It wouldn't let me put two videos in one post...
Anyways,
As far as Slaughterhouse goes, I think they all fit so well together and they all respect each other. By that I mean, not one person in the group thinks they are above another and IMO none of them are I see all four of them as equally as talented as the others.
One of my favorite songs from Welcome to: Our House.
It is just such a moving song. You can feel the pain that each member went through when someone died.
i dont even listen to the new eminem, but give me his old freestyles and i will rock them all day, seem like since he got his rep up he does not try that hard (like many rappers) others that are good at lyrics: Jadakiss, Fabolous (i dont think he writes his stuff) Jay Z (do some research, "i been spendin hundreds since they had small faces" ) Cassidy is sick too, Jin, and a few more that never made it to mainstream media, that black kid that battled Jin, and big tigger, not really a rapper but dude could flow more than most of the guest he had in the basement
some truth based on what you've said i kind of agree...BUT at the same time...TRUTHFULLY a majority of those, at least those i know of, more or less had a simplistic, no lyrical word play, like that of Jeezy..they just spoke on what they knew...i'm basing off of lyrical content, wordplay, ability to battle etc...w/ that...that's why i have NO PROBLEM putting Eminem up there.
now dont get me wrong alot of those pioneers of hip hop/rap do get their due cred, but i dont think many outside of maybe Rakim had wordplay in their content.
AGAIN!!! like you said i'm basing on what i've heard/grew up on and i didnt grow up on alot of what you grew up on obviously because of the age gap.
i agree w/ all of this except Jin and Tigga...i dont know enough aboutthem. but i'm sure Fab writes his own material, all the shit he's come out w/..there's no way he has a ghost writer that puts out that much of his music now w/o any dispute...Fab is a monster.
AGAIN!!!!!!!! i'm shocked no one is respecting Cam'ron, for real?! this proves how underrated he is
There we go right there, homey. There is so much stuff out there that so many young folks haven't heard, it's ridiculous. There were a lot of crafty folks from back in the days. Back in the days of legitimate hip hop.
And that validates what I've said, my friend.
But listen to these guys, dude. Personally, all day long, I'd put this group on the map well before Fem.
Anyone else into atmosphere?
and Just for the record, i think most white people like eminem because he is white, although they dont like to admit it
I don't believe in there being a "best rapper" due to the fact that "rap" is a watered down version of what it used to be. Best lyricist alive on the other hand, IMO is Eminem.. not because I'm white, but because of how everything is intertwined. Multisyllable rhyme and it all flows with the beat.
Comparisons to Eminem - All of Slaughterhouse, but I believe Royce is the best. To truly show each member of Slaughterhouse's style, you'd have to listen to the Slaughterhouse megamix remix to Beamer, Benz, or Bentley.
As far who has my interest most captured at the moment - Jarren Benton.
