Personally, the way I modify cars is to be be driven, hard, at its limit, and you just can't do that with the oil pan/exhaust/body of the car 1" above the pavement. I mean what's the point of spending thousands of dollars into a car only to drive it to parking lot meets-only to arrive, park, and have a myriad of guys you don't know tell you your ride is sick...
