my cousin actually had a problem witht his last year and he too checked himself into an out-patient rehab and got put on some pain meds and he has been doing great ever since. he just hates whenever people are like hey man wanna come have a drink this weekend because he knows that if he takes one drink it will light his fire again and he wont be able to control it. good luck man! i know its a battle but you can conquer it.
no pain meds for me , the meds i will be taking will make me violently ill if i have any alcohol at all , including mouthwash
