This is one of the stupidest things I've seen all day. The mayans didn't operate in the Gregorian calendar. The had their own calendar, and the 2012 date was the result of the conversion from their calendar into ours, with leap years taken into account.

People need to stop believing everything they read in FB forwards :facepalm:
