if someone posted a car that others also agreed on, and i didnt.... id probably put it up to vote. So far... people have only posted bullshit and the others posting in this thread have agreed with me against those vehicles. The only "rigging" in this contest is me knowing that my s13 is in the top 5% of s13s and also knowing that usually the cars that look better than mine arent as fast and the ones that are faster, dont look as good. i know what kind of s13 $5k buys.

Ive sold 2 real RHD Silvia Ks, (1 heavily modded, 1 stock) and 1 real RHD 180SX lightly modded. 1 i sold with no title, the other 2 were vin swapped ,so in essence with no title.

The 180 SX i had is probably closest to your car, and i sold it for $6800, no title, bullshit Rotas, AC, stock motor with downpipe and exhaust, Cusco Coilovers. My silvia Ks i sold for $7500, it had ugly ass Konig wheels, half a cage, wasnt in near the condition your car looks to be (paint had scratches, etc).

So, i think your car is in the $7000-8000 range. $8000 being the high end, $7000 being the low end. anywhere in between i would sell it.

400hp doesnt matter, none of my cars made over 220whp, 400hp in an SR is almost a liability more than a selling factor. 400whp means its about to blow the fuck up.

If you dont have a dyno sheet, i wouldnt quote HP numbers because you cant really prove what it makes regardless of what you think. You should say "i think it has XXXhp based on what ive beaten, but i dont really know. " or just ballpark it "its prob around 350hp ".

If you claim a number but cant really prove it, people will always be suspect. Or just go pay for 3 dyno pulls somewhere for $50 and see what it makes.

I've dynoed the car and ran the 1/4 in the car, i know what it makes and runs. The 400 i claim is rounded down. Saying this... or a precise number is only going to cause more bullshit from these people who are just trolling. I dont have proof, but it's not a redlight math guesstimate.

you're a reasonable guy and your estimation of value is 7-8k based on previous experience of owning s13s and being on forums. Your doubt it is a factor in that appraisal the same way mine would be when i shop a car. Every mustang i've ever looked at my entire life, i was told "woohoo doggy, it'll scat" or "it sure is fast" ect ect.... 9/10 of them are near stock and slow as shit. So i understand skepticism.

but.... theoretical question, if you came to look at my car... and it was every bit as good as it looks in pictures and was just as fast as i say it is... would you really think me asking $8500 was that far fetched? People like Austin are basically basing their entire opinion of my asking price on me being a liar. i wasnt insinuating you were lieing or anything like that, you have no reason to lie. 400whp is something easy to DISPROVE as anyone buying the car could demand you dyno it in front of them. Its very easy to prove or disprove so if you say it makes that i have no reason not to trust you.

$8500 isnt out of the realm of possibility. Is it worth it? well thats a tough question.

There was a time i would say yes. But im probably very biased right now because i see ZERO to little value in any car modded heavily or over 10 years old. If it was made before 2004, im just like "EHH , waste of money". Ive seen other 240sxs way shittier priced higher.

My expertise though has always been in assessing real value. And, in my opinion, $8500 is REASONABLE,but i doubt very seriously you will get that. Id say that car is probably in the $7000-8000 range. I also was in a hurry to sell my cars, so i priced them "cheap" to unload them. If you were asking $10,000 id say you were on crack.

240s are in a weird place right now, i remember if you had an SR20 swap, $5000 MINIMUM is what you would get. Now i see them for $2500,3000,3500 etc. The problem is there are so many SHIT cars around it drags your NICE 240 car down. Perception is they are all the same, when they really arent.

and i think alot of the animosity is because everyone is used to lowballing the shit out of everyone else, and buying or owning pieces of junk. WHen they finally see a car that is painted all 1 color, runs good, looks nice, they get very jealous and upset when you ask a premium price for a premium car.

Its this current generations crutch. They have zero creativity, zero respect, and they want everything for free. Instead of being like "wow , what a nice car id love to own it" they say "$8500 hahaha my boi has a 2fortay that he sold to my cousins retarded uncle for $3000 that was wayyyyyy nicier"

yeah, i believe that was his brother in law that was with him. They were both pretty cool guys. That s2k is no joke. Had i of seen the size of the turbo on that thing prior to racing him, i probably would have asked for a dig. low speed roll was close, high speed roll he got me good.
