    Even at $100 a barrel a gallon of gas only costs roughly $2.38 to make. After you add expenses to get gas from refinery to the bulk distributors then to the gas station i would expect it to be around $3.20/$3.40 per gal retail for regular. The only real money to be made in the fuel business is the money made getting it out of the ground.

    I live in SC and its $3.53 but if I go a mile up the road to the NC side of the border, It goes up by 40 cents
