Me (FG2 197bhp, 139tq) vs 25th Anniv Mustang (190bhp, 220tq) Si is stock, has around 4000 miles on it. Mustang had intake, headers, cat back exhaust, I have no idea how much that would affect the stock numbers on the V6 Mustangs. Both cars have 1 passenger. Mustang loses by several lengths. Let the Import vs Domestic flames commence haha............

For starters, I have owned several Hondas as well as V8 powered cars so my world revolves around both. I have witnessed their potential firsthand so it's nothing new to me. You came in here mentioning a factory economy car with spray can run down a factory V8. Quite possibly true if you are talking about a Crown Vic or something but not any factory Mustang GT or other "muscle cars". So, what do these two manufacturers offer if you need to do something like "yard work"? Just to see what kind of horsepower they make for doing real work.
Honda offers this, and it can cut the grass in your yard. it is self-propelled, so you can measure how fast it can take you - if you have a calendar to measure its speed by.
Ford doesn't offer anything that can cut your grass - but they do have an option that can pull your whole house to a new yard. It also happens to be faster than Honda's grass cutting option.

You can race my Mustang any time you want. Ill even toss 3 passengers in my car and give you 5 lengths. It only puts out around 250whp per rear wheel.

Fuck V8s, waste too much gas. Also a rule of mechanics is that the less moving parts a machine has the more reliable it is. 4cyl FTW.V8 guys need to sink the same amount of money into their suspension to keep up with lightweight 4 cylinder cars as we do to make our 4 cylinders keep up with their v8s. i guess its what you want, but i like to be able to drive my car somewhere else besides a straight line.

I bet to differ. I owned a RX7 and they have ALOT less moving parts than a 4 cyl and that statement doesn't hold true.
To add to this thread. Yes 4 cyl (hondas) can make power and are fun but in the end a V8 will make more reliable power than a 4 cyl. End of story

I've never heard of that rule either, as I was a professional tech for Nissan and Chevrolet. Ive been working on cars since I was a kid with my dad, now I do it for a living. V8's will always be king on engines, no doubt. Ive owned a very quick, (see the keyword QUICK) but it'd still get raped by my truck.
