well i'll drive a honda anyday. I-4, V6, whatever. Fit and finish and fuel economy is all that matter to me in that class of car. You guys can mod ur balls off, I'd rather have a car I can drive from point to point in comfort, with A/C and back at a reasonable cost, on regular fuel.

Pathetic Honda driver story from today: Infront of my home, POS civic kid locks e-brake to try donuts. Fails. Speeds up to atleast 15mph and rips e-brake followed by crashing into ditch. I chuckle. I sit, laughing on my front pourch. He then gets out on the phone then ten minutes later, another dumbass kid comes up in another Honda. They ride off spinning tires. Eventually kids dad comes to pull the car out of the ditch with a nice new truck. And I get to sit back, enjoy my cold beverage while dad yells at son entire time of loading the POS Honda onto the trailor.

My Mustang makes it a little farther than Macon on a tank - its a small tank.
Fast cars use lots of gas, econoboxes are weak and talk mpg.
I have a Buick 6 cyl that easily makes it down to Savannah, and is much more comfortable than a Civic.
Civics are slow, and Frontier 4 cyls are weak. Get a V8 stuffed into that Frontier and you will be able to tow your trailer from trailer park to trailer park like me! I'll have a cold Budweiser waitin' on you.

The speed limit on the interstate I travel is 65, I go 80. I have no problem going 80 all the way to work. My "slow" civic gets to 80 just like your rustang, maybe not as quick but do I really care? Nope. At the end of the day I can go further than you on a tank, so fill up your car and I'll fill up mine and we will see who is sitting on the side of the road first. At the end of the day you can only go so fast on the roads so do I really need a V8 for everyday driving? Nope. Slow or not it's smarter and you know it.

1. My civic would hit 80 in a 1/4 mile...Hell maybe even 85! lol
2. My comment wasn't for the track. Mine was toward the current gas prices and everyday driving.
3. My bike gets better gas mileage than my car but it doesn't have A/C, 4 seats and a roof when its raining.
If I were to build a car for the 1/4 mile it would most likely have a V8 LSX based motor BUT like stated above my comment was just for the streets, where I can care less how much power my cars has and rather the MPG's it gets.

i know i wasnt out running to many people in my lude in my sig.. i bought it for the gas milage.. all you have to do is get on youtube an you can find honda out running v8s all day an also find v8 out running honda's all day.. what alot of yall are forgetting is alot has to deal with the drivers

You you like for me to add the Diesel I put in my 18-wheeler too? If so then add another $500. I only took it out once last week.
See the thing your forgetting is you all have to build the he'll out of your cars to run 10's or 11's my motor is 8:8:1 compression no nos just motor and I'm running 11's and if can get a good launch shit make it a 10. Let's see ur Honda do that with that compression.
And for the guy that said all mustangs need a v8 to move. There is a 10 second svo 4cyl mustang that will beat u and get better gas mileage.
