We have that option (last I heard)... But it is rarely taken. Personally I like the gas chamber, minus strapping the guy to the table. They strap they guy so tightly, not to keep him from escaping, but because the muscle contractions caused, can snap bones.

This story was really dusturbing. I was hoping they would bring him out I that house/ apartment in a body bag. My condolences go out to his family.
