Hoodpins were functional. I had completely removed all pieces I could related to the factory mechanism. All I left on was the hood release in the cabin. This is a picture of the car after I "retired" from SCCA. I got my championship and headed out, lolol. My contingency stickers and other (real) sponsor stickers were on the front bumpers, rear quarter panels, deck lid and hood. I'll find a pic, but most of the younger folks won't understand so they'd just laugh and attempt a trash-fest on it.
I don't think you're in a position to close any cases. I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt and not try to derail you any further than you're derailing yourself, but you're an idiot, man.

Echonova knows me all too well. That damn Datsun had NO springs at all under there. Straight down on compressed struts and, check it, 215/50-13 tires, lolol. Believe me when I tell you that I was the one to watch back in the late '80s. Where everyone else was mini-truckin', I was the first one to come out in a truly slammed car. I did all the things a mini-trucker would do to my wagon; shaved all door handles, drip paint interior, neon green/pink painted pieces, splatter paint and a rocked dash.
Lolol. Later, QD.
