it all depends on how fast you were going........ if it is just a speeding ticket......
plea not guilty, once you are called to talk to the stand ask to talk to the solicitor about your ticket.... when talking to him/her tell them you are willing to plea guilty but not to the speed they caught u at.... and see if they will bargin with you, i have gotten so many tickets reduced due to this its insaneif its a higher speed just ask to be put at 14 over... therefor it will not go on your record or get you any points....
if it is a major ticket and you are in fear of alot of points or whatnot plea nolow.... you will still get a fine but no points.......
hope this has helped some

"So, Lone Star. Now you see that evil will always triumph...because good is dumb."
Keep in mind that if you've pled nolo before you can only do it every 5 years i believe.
Overall though i'd go with Chris's advice... I've been a few times and i always get the impression that they just want to take your money and call it a day.
With nolo though they also might knock the violation down. All depends really on your past record. A lot of voilations, and they will smack you in the face with the book.
Be careful with Nolo though becase i used my nolo bc i knew that it wouldn't go on my record but when i went to go get insurance on a car i am buying tomorrow...wanted a quote, it is on my record anyway...so be VERY careful...pm me if you want i am a criminal justice major so i know a good bit

well i am 24, been driving since i was 16. Only had one ticket before and it was 2 weeks after i got my license for not stopping at a stop sign all the way because i was late for work.
This ticket was for 28 over, 83 in a 55. I am just not quite sure how the court process works. As far was when I can talk to the solicitor or ask the judge to lower the speed as you said down to 14 over so it doesn't go on my license.
I also found that under some code, cant remember the number right now, that if i take defensive driving before court that they can't put points on my license and they have to reduce the fine by 20%. I would rather take the DD class and try to get them to lower the ticket down to 14 over.
Any more info would help.
Thanks
